Baking Tips for the Beginner

Are you looking to step up your game?
I have some tips that every baker should practice!

1.    Don't rush baking

Rushing through a recipe will lead to a subpar result.
Take your time read the recipe make sure you have everything.
This way you will not measure incorrectly of forget something all together.
So slow down and prepare.

2.  Don't replace or change the order of ingredients

You will learn that substitutions will be helpful in the future.  For now it will be best that try not  to be creative just stick to the recipe.  Also don't change the order of the ingredients.  This changes the texture of your bake goods, this is oh so important.

3.  Get an oven thermometer

Ever over is different there is gas or electric.  Some heat faster than others.  Some have hot spots.   All of the for mentioned can affect the quality of your bake goods.  So get to know your oven by            using an oven thermometer. Place it in the center and you will have the temp of that spot.  then                move it around until you gauge your oven's cool and hot spots.

4.  Keep the oven door close

Baking relies on consistent environments.  Even excessive humidity can impact the result.
Excessively opening and  closing the oven door is the worst mistake you can make.  Doing this               before the right time causes the heat to escape.  Rely on your window and oven light.  The more            you bake the better you will be able to tell if something is done.

5.  Your Bakeware matters

The pan is the most important part of baking second only to the batter or dough!  There are so             many option it is hard to choose wisely.  I recommend you invest in high quality non-stick                       bakeware.  Alternatives could be uneven in thickness, covered in unsafe coatings, which will                   defiantly effect your results.   Metal is the best way to go glass or ceramic pans will take longer to     heat up and the hold heat longer.
